Arts in Ada 2017
Exhibition Rules and Regulations:
The following rules and regulations for all exhibitions have been added to ensure that the artwork being submitted adheres to the complete definition of fine art/fine crafts. Fine art/fine crafts is defined as visual art created primarily for aesthetic purposes.
Please review and follow the rules and regulations below as we will not accept artwork that does not comply. All visual art mediums will be considered, including but not limited to: painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, mosaics, mixed media, and fine crafts.

Participation:
- All artists and photographers will be reviewed before being accepted to this show.
- Only fine art and fine crafts will be considered. No selling of store bought items, or items assembled from kits will be permitted.
- Sale of art is not required. If the artist intends to sell his or her art, he/she is responsible for paying the sales tax.
- Artists are responsible for collecting their own funds.
Submission:
- The Ada Arts Council will review all applications to ensure the artwork approved best represents the event.
- In addition to the application below, artists are required to submit three images of their work and one of their booth setup.
- Along with your application, a $65.00 entry fee must be submitted on or before May 1, 2017 to be considered. If you are not selected, your $65.00 entry free will be reimbursed.
Notification:
- You will be notified from the Ada Arts Council if you have been accepted or rejected to the show.
- Notification of non-selection can be due to the following:
- The request was received after May 1, 2017.
- The jury decided the work itself did not represent fine art/crafts as stated above.
- Artists will be provided a 10x10 booth space and are to display their work in a professional manner.
- Artists will need to provide their own tenting, tables and chairs. Tents will require weights, no tents will be allowed to be staked in the ground.
- Artists should provide appropriate boxes/bags for customers who purchase their artwork.
- Artists are responsible for removing their unsold merchandise and to clean up their area after the event is over.
- $1,200 in cash awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place fine art artists, and to the “Best in Show” fine craft artist.
- The cash prizes are as follows: 1st place: $500; 2nd place: $300; 3rd place: $150—Best in Show in the fine craft category will win $250.
- Winners will be announced at 2 p.m. at the event stage during Arts in Ada on May 20, 2017
